Wedding Interrupted Trent Gilliss, Online Editor
There are so many devastating photos coming out of China right now that it feels like a case of voyeurism for me. An unexpected phrase in my AP feed, “photo shoot was taking place at the decrepit Church of the Annunciation” caught my attention. I couldn’t resist viewing the images (the NY Times has a higher res version worth seeing).
Apparently, the church mentioned is part of an abandoned French seminary that was built a century earlier — and now a popular destination spot for weddings and sundry events. I’d love to know more. Anybody got the lowdown on this place?
